Physical fitness plays an important role in developing the overall personality of a student since a physically balanced student is mentally balanced too. Chalapathi institute of technology equally emphasizes the need to develop physical activities and encourages Sports and games making it an integral part of the curriculum various sports facility is provided to the students within the campus. Various sports competitions such as inter departmental, Inter collegiate, etc help in developing team spirit among students. Their interpersonal relationship is enhanced a very healthy manner. Students are provided with honours like medals, trophies and certificates.

Functions :

  • 1. To device and implement a mechanism for sports activities including students coaching, ground preparation, procurement of sports material and scheduling of the games.
  • 2. To device and implement a mechanism for publicizing and motivating the students for participation in games and sports activities and organize inter-departmental sports and games events.
  • 3. To coordinate with the university sports division and arrange for the participation of students at university tournaments, regional/state/national level sports events.
  • 4. To device and implement a mechanism for liaison with the government agencies for grants in sports/gymnasium etc.
  • 5. To work out and execute any other activity related with the sports & games. The ultimate objective shall be to provide an environment that enhances the student’s personality keeping them fit & healthy.
  • 6. To develop team work, management and leadership skills in the students which helps them to keep their positive attitude and be disciplined and confident in their future endeavours.

The college provides an efficient transportation facility connecting major locations such as Guntur, Amaravathi, Tadikonda, and Tenali.

The institution operates 14 college buses, all maintained through strict and periodic inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Drivers follow a strict safety code of conduct.

Additionally, 3 exclusive college buses are provided for girl students staying at the LAM Hostel. Only students carrying valid College ID cards and Bus Passes are permitted to travel.

Central Library

A house of education is the tree with branches of various disciplines and a library at its root. The college has a computerized library well equipped with a large collection of books under the categories of academics, reference and general. Library provides uncompromising information and intellectual requirements to students and faculty with user-friendly approach. The artistically designed library with more volumes (books), plenty of audio- visual materials & more national & international journals and E-Journals like DEL-NET,J-GATE is indeed a rich repository of knowledge facilitating prospects for future research.

  • Wearing a valid ID card is compulsory inside the library.
  • Entry details must be recorded in the Visitors Register.
  • Strict silence must be maintained inside the library.
  • Use of mobile phones is not permitted within the library premises.
  • Library working hours: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on all working days.
  • Circulation section timings: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Loan period for books is 15 days.
  • A maximum of three books may be issued to students.
  • A maximum of eight books may be issued to faculty members.
  • Carrying eatables or drinks inside the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Members are requested to keep their belongings at the entrance; valuables should not be left unattended as the library is not responsible for loss.
  • Borrowed and stamped books should not be brought back into the library.
  • Books will not be issued on another member’s ID card.
  • Issue of books is subject to availability only.
  • Sub-lending of library books is not permitted.
  • Readers are not allowed to bring personal books or printed materials (spiral/bound) into the library.
  • Talking or group discussions are not allowed; reading halls are meant for individual study and research only.
  • The Librarian reserves the right to refuse or recall issued books under special circumstances without assigning any reason.
  • Reference books, newspapers, magazines, and journals must not be taken outside the library.

  • 1. Loss of books, if any shall be reported to the librarian immediately and the borrower shall be permitted to provide the replacement with good copy of similar book only on obtaining the permission from the Head of the Institution.
  • 2. If the borrower fails to replace the lost book within the time fixed, twice the cost of the book and the overdue charges will be levied..
  • 1. The members shall reserve any book which is already in issue. The reserved books after their return will be kept at the counter for two consecutive days for the benefit of those who reserved them. If they fail to collect them within two days these books shall be issued to the members in the waiting list and the members shall forfeit their seniority in reservation.

    The Grievance Redressal Cell was constituted to probe into the student grievances. The Cell attempts to address genuine academic and non-academic problems of students.

    As per UGC and AICTE directions, the Cell ensures grievances of students and faculty are addressed amicably and confidentially through online and offline mechanisms.

    National Service Scheme (NSS)
