The department of computer science & Engineering was started with an initial intake of 60 students in B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering in the year 2008 and the intake is enhanced to 120 in the year 2011. At present there are 420 students at each level. In 2012, the department started M.Tech Programme in "Computer Science and Engineering" with an intake of 18 students. Our department possesses sufficient teaching and non teaching faculty according to desired qualifications.
The Department provides excellent infrastructure and equipment to the students, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware. The campus is provided with Internet facility to the students for accessing and improving their expertise at free of cost through 1 Giga bit Fiber Optic backbone network. The students are trained well to improve their communication skills, personality development through additional classes in every semester. And additional assistance is given to the students for GRE, TOEFL and GATE by our faculty members as well as experts from outside. In order to improve the current trends, the students of all years are motivated through Seminars, Guest Lectures and two day Workshops by industrial experts in all fields. Our students are encouraged to participate in various events at the college level competitions conducted at several nearby institutions. A good number of our students are being placed through campus placements in major IT, ITES and core MNC companies every year.
Mr G.Ramachandra Rao has pursuing Ph.D in Anna University. He has received M.Tech in Software Engineering in 2009 from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka. He has received B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering in 2007 from JNTU, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He is working as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department in CSE. He has a total of 13 years of experience in teaching and administration. He is ratified by JNTUK, Kakinada in 2011. He has published and presented various papers in reputed journals. His interested research areas are Cloud Computing, Network Security, Data mining. He has professional memberships at Life Member of IAENG, Life Member of ISTE (LM 119564).

APSSDC is a Skill Development Government Organization with the intent of creating skilled people across the country.
We CITY is in association with this eminent organization since 2018, as of now we have trained more than 1860 students in total.
As part of the continuous learning our students made big difference by contributing more than 100 projects and also won many project competitions conducted by APSSDC at national level.
In order to encourage premier institutions, The CM's Skill Excellence Center has provided the LAPTOP Lab of worth 35 lakhs has been set up by APSSDC for free in our campus to provide necessary Skills & Training for Students.
